Confirmation & Voucher

Your booking confirmation or voucher is the document that confirms your reservation details.

It usually shows:

  • your booking number or reservation number,
  • the main driver’s name,
  • pick-up and drop-off locations,
  • pick-up and drop-off dates and times,
  • the rental supplier or booking provider,
  • contact details for the rental desk or supplier,
  • important rental conditions,
  • payment, deposit and document requirements.

You may be asked to show your voucher at the rental desk together with your driving licence, ID/passport and payment card.

Check the voucher carefully before pick-up. If the name, dates, location, car group or supplier details look wrong, use Manage Booking as soon as possible.

Most bookings are confirmed shortly after the online booking process is completed.

In some cases, the booking may show as on request or pending while the rental supplier checks availability. If this happens, follow the status or timing shown during the booking process or in your confirmation email.

Once confirmed, your voucher or confirmation is usually sent to the email address used for the booking.

If you do not receive it, check your inbox, spam/junk folder and any Promotions or Other tabs before contacting support.

  • in the Manage Booking area.

If you cannot find it, search your inbox and spam/junk folder for terms such as:

  • AutoZone.al
  • car rental
  • booking confirmation
  • voucher
  • reservation
  • booking number

You will usually need your email address and reservation number to use Manage Booking.

  1. First, check:

    • your spam/junk folder,
    • Promotions or Other tabs in your email,
    • that you entered the correct email address during booking,
    • whether the booking is still pending or on request.

    If you still cannot find the confirmation:

    1. go to Manage Booking,
    2. enter the email address and reservation number used for your booking,
    3. check whether the voucher or booking status is available.

    If you still cannot access the booking, follow the support instructions shown in your confirmation email or voucher. For booking-specific help, use the booking provider or rental supplier contact details connected to your reservation.

The main driver name on the voucher should match the main driver’s driving licence and payment card.

A mismatch can cause problems at pick-up, especially if:

  • the spelling is wrong,
  • the booking is in another person’s name,
  • the licence belongs to a different driver,
  • the payment card is not in the main driver’s name,
  • the supplier requires the cardholder and main driver to be the same person.

If you notice a mismatch before pick-up, use Manage Booking immediately. Main driver changes may need supplier approval and should be requested as early as possible, ideally at least 72 hours before pick-up.

Do not wait until you arrive at the rental desk. Incorrect driver or card details can lead to refusal of the rental or no-show treatment.

Changing the main driver may be possible, but it is not guaranteed.

To request a main driver change:

  1. use Manage Booking,
  2. enter the email address and reservation number used for your booking,
  3. request the change as early as possible, ideally at least 72 hours before pick-up.

The change depends on supplier approval. The rental price may also change if the new main driver’s age, licence details or rental requirements affect the supplier’s terms.

The main driver usually must:

  • be named on the booking,
  • meet the age and licence requirements,
  • provide the required ID,
  • sign the rental agreement, and
  • present the required payment card for the security deposit.

If the main driver cannot be changed, you may need to cancel and make a new booking in the correct driver’s name.

Do not wait until you arrive at the rental desk. Main driver issues at pick-up can lead to refusal of the rental or no-show treatment.

Many rental suppliers accept a digital voucher shown on your phone, but some may still ask for a printed copy.

To avoid problems at pick-up:

  • keep a digital copy on your phone,
  • make sure it is readable offline,
  • bring a printed copy where possible,
  • check the voucher instructions before travelling.

Your voucher should clearly show your booking number, main driver name, supplier details and pick-up information.

Use Manage Booking to check the status of your reservation.

Common booking statuses include:

  • Confirmed: your booking is active and a voucher or confirmation should be available.
  • Pending / on request: the rental supplier or booking provider is checking availability.
  • Cancelled: the booking has been cancelled. Check the cancellation or refund details shown for your reservation.

You can also check your confirmation email or voucher for booking status, supplier details and any instructions.

If you are close to your pick-up time and the booking status is unclear, contact the booking provider using the details shown in your confirmation.

The rental supplier’s contact details are normally shown on your voucher or confirmation.

They may include:

  • the supplier name,
  • rental desk address,
  • pick-up instructions,
  • phone number,
  • email address or support link,
  • shuttle or meet-and-greet instructions,
  • out-of-hours instructions where applicable.

If you cannot find the supplier contact details, check any attached rental conditions or voucher PDF.

  • The rental supplier may still be able to find your booking using your name, email address or reservation number, but this is not guaranteed.

    Arriving without your voucher can:

    • slow down the pick-up process,
    • make it harder to confirm your booking details,
    • make it harder to prove the price, conditions or included extras,
    • create problems if there is more than one similar booking.

    Before pick-up, download your voucher and save it on your phone. If possible, also bring a printed copy.

    If you cannot access your voucher before travelling, use Manage Booking or contact the booking provider before your pick-up time.
